For those who didn’t know – we’ve gone again!! It was a typical 13hr long haul over to Los Angeles then we had a delayed 6 hr wait for transfer up to Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Arrived in here about 3pm so after a quick shower we managed a couple of hours sleep before venturing out into the strip for a quick stroll. Although that’s an understatement – a quick stroll along the strip is like a 100m fight through the crowds!
Staying at ‘The Mirage” on of the many huge hotels along the strip – and a hotel of about . It takes 10 minutes just to walk to the fron of the hotel next door. Happens to be Caesar’s Palace next door so that in itself is a huge complex.
Kemm was watching the US Open Golf on TV yesterday afternoon and I took a ‘stroll’ (as described above!), to Caesar’s Placace and it’s insides. First thing inside the door of any place here is 3000 slot machines – and I’m not kidding!!!!! Signs are few and far between especially to exits as they really don’t want you to find your way out!
Anyway wandered along the massive corridors of Caesar’s and the Forum shops and eventually had to ask someone how to get out! It’s a very ‘jaw-dropping’ place here – we’ve seen a lot around the world in the past few years but this place takes the cake for sheer fantasy, spectacle and whatever else you want it to be. How many strect limos/cars/vans etc can one see in one day??? Who knows! They are commonplace!
Anyway this place is “Party Central” although to be part of the real party one has to want to get on the booze all the time, go clubbing and have heaps of money. Good luck, Scott, Jason and Darren!!!!
Have attached a heap of photos which all tell the story – have fun!
