Another gorgeous weather day for what was a typical ‘Sunday’ drive’ around the area known as The Luberon.
This area is one of village towns, cafe’s, tiny shops, lavender, soaps and all in all a real tourist area. It would have been fabulous to see thgouh had all the lavender fields been in flower, that would have been fields of purple if they were.
So that’s all we did for the day today, roamed, coffee’d, checked out tiny shops, found another 2 Australian couples whose husbands were very similar to Kemm – ‘women – shopping!!!’ I think they would all rather have been having a beer somewhere. Kemm, I have to admit, has been very patient, carries the parcels, waits outside the shops, doesn’t complain, helps me navigate whilst I’m driving and in general just ‘hangs in there’!
One more day in Aix-en-Provence so I’ll be taking the opportunity to pick up some ‘gifty’ things to being home. So much lavender, soap, pottery etc here – it’s gorgeous!
