It’s now time to head home after a very fast paced 12 days here in Vegas.
We’ve played 4 rounds of golf in over 36 degree heat – one day was 40 at least we are certain!!!!
We’ve flown up to the Grand Canyon in a light plane, taken a helicopter ride to the Colorado river at the bottom and then all back again.
We’ve been out to the Hoover Dam and been to the bottom of that and made sure the generators were still working – they were!
We’ve walked The Strip I don’t know how many times!!
As our bus driver said yesterday, and we totally agree…..
The casinos here
- Have no exit signs anywhere – you are supposed to stay inside and gamble
- There is nowhere to sit down other than in front of a machine – you’re supposed to put money in it while you are there
- There are no free water drinking fountains anywhere – you are supposed to buy their drinks
- Go in one door, out another of a casino then try and go back to the original door – WHERE THE HELL IS IT!!!! Designed that way to keep you inside – couldn’t believe the driver told us that one but I don’t know how many times we tried that!
- All casinos are cool/cold inside – just so you are alert and active in front of machines – not drowsy!
And so the list goes on……
We’ve seen the Bellagio Fountains more than once or twice – day and night – absolutely beautiful!!!!
We’ve visited the ‘CSI Experience” and tried to be CSI Investigators!
I’ve been to see the Dolphin pool and Siegfried and Roy’s Tiger habitat here at our hotel.
We’ve seen “Cher” in concert at Caesar’s Palace
We’ve see The Phantom” on show at the Venetian
We’ve wandered through the Venetian Hotel across the road – huge, beautiful and very Italian
We’ve blobbed in our room for the past 24 hours and done nothing!!! Whew!
It’s been a great holiday and I love the place!!! And for you young “20 somethings” – you’d be in heaven here!! Keep saving those pennies cos you’ll need them!!! NOT a cheap place!
